Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Technical Sales Manager to drive business growth across our client's portfolio of power supplies and magnetic components. This role bridges the gap between engineering and commercial success, offering you the chance to work closely with customers, understand their technical requirements, and propose tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in targeted industries such as industrial automation, medical devices, defence systems, and transport.
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand customer requirements and deliver technically sound solutions.
- Provide technical support and consultation during the pre-and post-sales processes.
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and quotations.
- Manage and grow relationships with key accounts and distribution partners.
- Attend trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events to represent the company and generate leads.
- Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to align market needs with product offerings.
- Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to refine strategy.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven sales or business development experience in power electronics, magnetics, or a closely related technical field.
- Strong technical understanding of AC/DC & DC/DC power supplies, transformers, inductors, and custom magnetic components.
- Engineering background (ideally BEng or higher) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Self-motivated, commercially astute, and capable of managing a sales pipeline independently.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and industry events as needed.
Desirable:
- Experience selling to OEMs and Tier 1s in sectors like medical, defence, or industrial automation.
- Familiarity with international sales processes or distributor channel management.
