Overview
Ampere Recruitment is partnering with a leading innovator in high-performance power electronics to identify a Sales Director / Business Development leader to support continued growth across key European territories.
Our client operates at the cutting edge of silicon carbide (SiC) power technology, delivering advanced inverter and power solutions for electric vehicles, aerospace, and industrial applications. This is a senior commercial role with clear ownership of regional revenue growth, strategic customer relationships, and long-term market development.
You will work closely with engineering, marketing, and leadership teams to help scale adoption of next-generation power electronics solutions in demanding, high-value markets.
Purpose of the Role
- Lead and manage sales activity across an assigned geographical region
- Own and deliver revenue targets across the full product portfolio
- Drive business development in alignment with company strategy, mission, and values
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline across assigned territories
- Proactively execute business development initiatives to generate future revenue
- Define and implement regional sales strategies
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with customers and partners
- Prepare operational and financial sales reports
- Coordinate cross-selling activities and joint marketing initiatives to maximise commercial impact
Candidate Profile
- Proactive & self-directed: Takes ownership of business development activities and learns from customer feedback
- Strong communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven reporting and presentation capability
- Collaborative: Comfortable working with cross-functional and virtual international teams
- Well organised: Strong planning, follow-up, and time-management skills

- Commercial leadership: Able to coordinate internal teams and influence customer decision-makers

- Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Electronic Engineering (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the power electronics sector
- Strong understanding of SiC / high-performance power conversion markets
- Fluent in English; additional European language skills are an advantage
- Experience operating in international, multicultural environments
