Test and Instrumentation Engineer
Ampere Recruitment is partnering with a leading engineering organisation to appoint an Instrumentation Engineer specialising in thermal and electrostatic discharge (ESD) metering. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced instrumentation professional to take ownership of the design, development, calibration, testing, installation and maintenance of thermal measurement instruments and ESD metering systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop thermal and ESD instrumentation systems.
- Select sensors, transmitters, DAQ systems and control hardware.
- Perform calibration and validation of thermal and electrostatic measurement devices.
- Conduct testing, data analysis and technical reporting.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues.
- Support compliance with safety and ESD standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics or a related field.
- 3+ years of instrumentation or test engineering experience.
- Knowledge of thermocouples, RTDs, IR sensors and ESD measurement techniques.
- Experience with calibration, data acquisition and troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with IEC, ASTM, ANSI/ESD or ISO standards.
- Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA and automation systems.
- Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB or Python.
