Development Engineer – Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) for Power Electronic Converters
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Development Engineer who will design and develop Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) simulations and testing frameworks for power electronic converters.
Other Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on the development and testing of control algorithms for advanced converter control
- Create technical documentation, including reports, publications, and patent submissions related to power converter control
- Develop custom interfaces and scripts using MATLAB
- Work with modern lifecycle management tools and contribute to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
Your Profile:
- Degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or a related field
- Several years of professional experience with in-depth knowledge of grid integration for power electronic converters
- Strong understanding of HiL systems; experience with OPAL-RT is a plus
- Solid knowledge of power electronics topologies, including Modular Multilevel Converters, and experience in medium/high-voltage applications
- Familiarity with lifecycle management tools such as Integrity, DOORS, and Atlassian, as well as version control systems
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
