Job Description
Senior Electronics Engineer – Analogue & Mixed-Signal Design
We're working with a growing engineering organisation to appoint a Senior Electronics Engineer with strong analogue circuit design skills and hands-on experience in DC/DC power conversion, low noise, and precision circuit design.
The Role
You'll work across the full electronics development lifecycle — from initial concept and simulation through to PCB design, bring-up, and validation. You'll contribute to a broad range of electronic systems, collaborating closely with firmware, mechanical, and systems engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop analogue and mixed-signal circuits across a variety of applications
- Develop DC/DC power conversion stages with low noise and low ripple requirements
- Design filter networks, feedback loops, and signal conditioning circuitry
- Perform circuit simulation and bench-level validation against specifications
- Guide PCB layout for noise-sensitive analogue and power circuits
- Produce clear design documentation including schematics, BOMs, and test procedures
- Support bring-up, debugging, and root cause analysis across hardware development
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong analogue circuit design background across multiple domains
- Experience with DC/DC conversion and an understanding of low noise and precision design techniques
- Proficiency with simulation tools such as LTspice or similar
- Solid bench skills — oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analysers, and signal generators
- A methodical approach to debugging and problem solving
Desirable
- Experience with mixed-signal design and microcontroller or FPGA integration
- Familiarity with EMC design principles and pre-compliance testing
- Exposure to relevant industry standards (automotive, medical, industrial, or defence)
- PCB design experience using tools such as Altium, KiCad, or Cadence
