Job Title: Embedded Firmware Engineer - Motor Control Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will specialise in motor control for Brushless DC (BLDC) motors using Field-Oriented Control (FOC) and Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM). The candidate will have a strong background in developing and implementing firmware for motor control applications, with a focus on optimising performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for motor control systems.
  • Implement and optimise FOC algorithms for BLDC and PMSM motors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate motor control solutions into overall system design.
  • Conduct system-level testing and validation to ensure firmware reliability and performance.
  • Provide technical support for motor control-related issues during product development and post-release.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in motor control technology.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in embedded firmware development focusing on motor control.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ for embedded systems.
  • Hands-on experience with FOC and PMSM motor control techniques.
  • Familiarity with microcontroller architectures and peripheral interfaces (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
