Quality Engineer – Power Electronics (m/f/d)

Konstanz Region, Germany

Ampere Recruitment has been engaged to support a leading technology company in the Konstanz region in the search for a Quality Engineer – Power Electronics.

This organisation specialises in the design and development of high-reliability power supplies for the space and aerospace sector. Due to continued growth and project demand, they are looking to add an additional Quality Engineer to their team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support both development and production activities for space-grade electronics, ensuring customer requirements are effectively translated into internal processes and supplier deliverables.
  • Own and maintain project documentation, delivering clear and structured reporting to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement quality strategies to ensure compliance with industry standards, including leading material and process qualification activities.
  • Manage non-conformances, ensuring deviations are accurately documented, reviewed, and resolved in line with customer and organisational expectations.
  • Plan and conduct supplier audits, as well as perform internal and external acceptance inspections to ensure consistent quality standards.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal quality management systems and processes.
  • Apply quality tools and methodologies such as FMEA, 8D, flow analysis, and root cause techniques (e.g. Ishikawa) to drive improvements.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline; alternatively, a recognised technical qualification with relevant experience.
  • Experience in quality or product assurance, ideally within regulated industries such as aerospace/space, automotive, or medical devices.
  • Strong understanding of quality tools and problem-solving methodologies (e.g. FMEA, 8D, root cause analysis).
  • Able to work independently in a complex environment, with the confidence to challenge where needed while maintaining a collaborative approach.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing and/or the space sector would be advantageous, but not essential.
