Job Title: Power Electronics Engineer – High Power (Industrial & Automotive Gate Drivers)
Location: Dortmund, Germany

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Power Electronics Engineer to provide technical customer support and contribute to demand creation activities for high-power gate driver applications in the industrial and automotive sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop technical specifications for gate driver designs
• Design gate driver circuits, including component selection and evaluation
• Create PCB layouts and generate production data for external manufacturing partners
• Conduct both low- and high-voltage evaluation and testing of gate driver designs
• Analyse and review competitor products
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation in English
• Visit customers to provide technical support and contribute to design-in activities (in collaboration with the Sales team)

Additional Responsibilities:

• Support Sales and Marketing with technical insights
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, sales, and marketing teams
• Prepare and present technical papers and editorials at industry conferences
• Represent the company at trade shows and exhibitions as a technical expert
• Deliver product and application training to both internal and external stakeholders
• Participate in customer visits to support business development and design wins

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a strong focus on power electronics
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred

Technical Skills:

• Solid experience in power electronics, particularly with gate drivers, inverter systems, IGBT, and MOSFET technologies
• Proficiency in circuit design and PCB layout using tools such as Altium Designer
• Experience in the characterization of gate drivers, power semiconductors, or inverter systems
