About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer with a strong background in Power Electronics to take ownership of developing electronic assemblies and circuits for advanced systems. You will be involved in every stage of the hardware lifecycle—from specification and architecture through to detailed design, simulation, testing, and system integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop electronic hardware in line with system specifications, including defining hardware architecture, creating detailed designs, and producing hardware documentation.
- Perform circuit calculations, Spice simulations, and component selection for high-performance power electronics systems.
- Design power stages, digital and analogue control circuits, and conduct hardware and integration tests.
- Collaborate closely with the system, test, and PCB layout teams to ensure smooth system integration and reliable hardware performance.
- Support the validation process, ensuring compliance with relevant safety and automotive standards.
Skills & Experience Required
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Physics (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in power electronics development, ideally within an automotive or industrial environment.
- Practical knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262) and A-Spice processes.
- Hands-on experience with Spice circuit simulation tools and laboratory testing.
- Familiarity with Matlab and Altium Designer; experience with Plecs, Maxwell 3D, Q3D, or Simplorer (Twin Builder) is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken); German is a plus.
