Senior Systems Engineer – Power Electronics
An exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer – Power Electronics has become available in Switzerland (St Gallen region).
The Senior Systems Engineer – Power Electronics will be responsible for the definition of systems architecture, component specifications, and interface requirements to ensure optimal efficiency of wireless charging systems.
Other responsibilities include
- Design and develop advanced power electronics for inductive EV charging applications
- Model and simulate converters and control loops using SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent tools
- Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis (e.g., CAN traces, power efficiency, electromagnetic issues) and drive continuous system improvements
- Validate system performance through laboratory testing, prototype evaluation, and field trials
- Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and mechanical teams to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in high-power automotive electronics design and validation
- Background in the automotive industry or wireless energy transfer systems (advantageous)
- Strong expertise in inductive power transfer principles and standards; knowledge of bidirectional power transfer is a plus
- Familiarity with functional safety standards and automotive development processes
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and mentoring skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines
